Genetic diversity analysis of groundnut genotypes using SSR markers
نویسندگان
چکیده
Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.), an important oilseed crop is a rich source of oil and protein. Molecular marker technologies are the effective tools and they are used for the assessment of genetic variability because they are not influenced by the environment. Among the molecular markers, Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) has proved to be the most powerful tool for variety identification in groundnut and has much potential in genetic and breeding studies. Among the 17 SSR primer pairs used for assessing the genetic diversity, 6 primer pairs (24.0 per cent) were polymorphic. The genotype TMV 2 was susceptible to rust and late leaf spot diseases and it was separately clustered in the dendrogram and among the eleven foliar disease resistant genotypes, the genotypes viz., COG 0423, COG 0436 and COG 0432 were distantly clustered from TMV 2. Hence, by using the genotypes viz., TMV 2, COG 0423, COG 0436 and COG 0432, three combinations viz., TMV 2 x COG 0423, TMV 2 x COG 0436 and TMV 2 x C0G 0432 could be made for further studies.

Estimation of genetic diversity in rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes using SSR markers under salinity stress . Fatemeh Gholizadeh1* and Saeed Navabpour2
In order to study the genetic diversity in rice (Oryza sativa L.), 29 genotypes consisting land races, pure and improved lines were evaluated using simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. A total of 30 SSR primers were used to amplify some part of rice genome in germplasms, the PIC values ranged from 0.07 (RM 340) to 0.71 (RM 7426) with an average of 0.45. The results showed a total number of 106...

Expressed sequence tags simple sequence repeats (EST-SSRs) are important sources for investigation of genetic diversity and molecular marker development. Similar to genomic SSRs, the EST-SSRs are useful markers for many applications in genetics and plant breeding such as genetic diversity analysis, molecular mapping and cross-transferability across related species and genera. In spite of low po...

Genetic diversity estimation of plant materials is one of the important pre-breeding activities in breeding field crops. Twenty-one microsatellite markers used to assess genetic diversity and relationship of 68 sunflower genotypes (Helianthus annuus L.). All of 21 pairs of SSR (Simple Sequence Repeats) markers produced a total number of 49 polymorphic bands. DNA fragments ranged from 9...
